Running Running Running!

So Mondays are meant to be dedicated to us, the moms and what we do to redefine ourselves or maybe keep us being us.  Does that make any sense?  This post is a little late, but here goes…

I started running in university.  It really helped clear my head and it felt good with all the healthy endorphins that get produced during physical activity.  I took a little hiatus when I lived in Japan but started taking it up again when I moved back to Canada.  In Toronto, I did a couple half marathons and some shorter distance races, but it was great.  Loved doing it.

When I moved to Hong Kong I kept running and signed up for a few races.  When I got pregnant though, I pretty much put it aside to do gentler exercises.  Anyways, 18 months after my second was born, I’ve decided to finally get back into it.  It gives me time to myself and it makes me feel good.  To motivate myself, I signed up for a 10K which takes place next weekend!  Eek!  So my goal is completion this time around.  Along with the running, I’ve taken on some pilates and a cardio groove class.  Here’s to fitness and feeling good again physically!!!
